性质描述:

针状结晶。熔点46-47℃，沸点244℃，127℃（1.46kPa），也有报道117-118℃（1.6kPa），闪点107℃ ，相对密度0.964（20/4℃），折光率1.5192。闪点105℃。

生产方法:

由间甲酚与异丁烯在三氯化铝存在下反应而得。反应在浓硫酸中进行，反应温度为310-320℃。反应完成后，经中和、蒸馏而得成品。

用途:

有机合成中间体。用于生产酚类抗氧剂CA、抗氧剂300、抗氧剂BBM。
