性质描述:

白色针状结晶。熔点277℃（升华）。溶于热乙醇、乙醚、苯和四氯化碳，稍溶于冷乙醇。

生产方法:

由邻二甲苯经苯环氯化而得。将邻二甲苯和四氯化碳加入搪玻璃反应锅，加入熟铁丝作催化剂，于室温和微负压下开始通入氯气，控制温度在40℃以下，1h后取出熟铁丝，继续通氯，并将温度维持在70℃左右反应至终点，约需17h。

用途:

用作农药中间体。
