性质描述:

湿敏性液体，在空气中发烟。熔点-29.3℃，沸点 68-69℃ ，与甲醇形成共沸混合物，共沸点55℃ ，相对密度(20/4) 0.920，折光率(nD25) 1.3543（1.3548）。极易燃烧，闪点 -1℃ 。与乙醚、甲醇、四氢呋喃、异丙胺及己烷等互溶。无水状态稳定，遇水分解成甲醇及硼酸。

生产方法:

可用多种方法合成，如从吡啶-三氟化硼复合物制取，或用甲醇、氟化硼；甲醇、硼酸；原硅酸甲酯、卤化硼等制取。

用途:

钾（钠）硼氢的中间体。硫化剂、木材防腐剂、催化剂、胶凝剂、热稳定剂、氢焰灭火剂，也用于棉花阻燃处理和制备活性硅石，以及用作碳水化合物衍生物气相色谱分析试剂。
