性质描述:

无色液体。熔点-68.1℃，沸点230.4℃，相对密度0.9536（20/20℃），折光率1.4258（27℃），1.4321。闪点100℃。易溶于醇和醚，溶于水及油类。

生产方法:

在生产乙二醇单丁醚的过程中乙二醇单丁醚与环氧乙烷反应，副产二乙二醇丁醚。

用途:

主要用溶剂，用于涂料、染料、树脂等方面，也用作增塑剂的中间体以及液压制动器液体的稀释剂，此外还用来生产胡椒基丁氧基化合物。该品对鼠口服LD50为6560mg/kg。
