Polyethylene glycols (PEGs) are hydrophilic, non-toxic, non-immunogenic and non-antigenic polymers. They are widely used in a variety of biomedical applications such as bioconjugation, drug delivery, surface functionalization, and tissue engineering. Rhodamine B-PEG2k-COOH is a heterobifunctional PEG with a Rhodamine B fluorescein dye and a carboxylic acid endgroup. Rhodamine B has peak fluorescence emission at 572-575 nm.
