TNIIIA2 is a Tenascin-C driven proadhesive peptide that potently activates β1-integrins including α5β1. TNIIIA2 forces hematopoietic tumor cell lines to adhere via VLA-4 to fibronectin, which induces apoptosis. It appears that TNIIIA2 uses Syndecan-4 as a receptor.
