IWP-O1 is an inhibitor of Porcupine (Porcn), an acyl (palmitoyl) transferase essential for secretion of Wnt proteins and involved in both embryonic development and tumor progression. IWP-O1 has good metabolic stability and is extremely potent, exhibiting an EC50 value of 80 pM in a cultured cell reporter assay of Wnt signaling.
