GSK046 (iBET-BD2) is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of bromodomain BD2 of BRD2, BDR3, BRD4, BRDT. GSK046 inhibits the production of effector cytokines, including IFN-g, interleukin- 17A (IL-17A), and IL-22 in primary CD4+ T cell cultures without effecting proliferation. It appears that BD2-selective inhibition by GSK046 specifically affects the induction of gene expression while leaving the maintenance of established transcription programs largely unaltered.
