性质描述:

无色液体。沸点105℃，相对密度1.153（20/4℃），折光率1.4980。

生产方法:

将甲硫醚的戊烷溶液加热，滴加氯化亚砜的戊烷溶液，加毕，加热数小时，常压蒸出戊烷，继续蒸馏，收集104-106℃馏分，得氯甲基甲基硫醚。（溶剂也可改用二氯甲烷）。

用途:

有机合成中间体。
